Lewis has extensive experience working with communities in both metro and regional areas to co-design and co-build sculptures. Previous sculptures include:
- Living with Emus was co-designed with students from Nannup District School. Funded by RAC to bring attention to the dangers of wildlife on the road.
- Flying Books was co-designed over two weeks of workshops with students from Westfield Primary. The concept of flying books came from the students, and they picked words to represent themselves, the school and the surrounding community for the three books of the sculpture.
- The Elements was co-designed and co-built over two weeks with students from Burringurrah Aboriginal Community with found materials from discarded cars.
- The DIY rocket was co-designed and co-built with at-risk youth in Perth with found materials from an old Prospector train. Later featured and won an award in the Castaways exhibition.
- The Lotus was designed for community engagement – the community could write and draw their emotions on prayer flags displayed within the sculpture.
- Hand-e-lion was co-designed with students with the imprint of their hands. The dandelion represents their wishes for their future.
- DREAM was co-designed with the wider Cockburn community. The word for this gabion was voted on by the public through ballot boxes, with the final entry selected by the Mayor.
